We require honest, trustworthy and reliable House Sitters who meet the following criteria

We offer our clients quality home caretaking and pet care during their absence.  Our Sitters must be experienced in all aspects of running a home, with a particular emphasis on pet care.  You will only be offered assignments which suit your experience and ability.

As a Pet and House Sitter you will be required to take up residence at the client’s home for the duration of the booking to safeguard the security of the client’s home and care for pets.  You may be required to mow the lawn, water plants and care for houseplants, as well as deal with callers and take telephone messages accurately and efficiently.  The home must be kept clean and aired and the client may require provisions to be purchased for their return.  Although this sounds a lot, the actual time involved on a day-to-day basis is generally no more than two hours maximum, the rest of the day is yours to relax, sit in the garden, read or explore new areas, whilst keeping an eye that everything is running smoothly and pets are safe, content and happy.

House minding suits retired or semi-retired people who enjoy a change of scenery and a break from routine.  Many of our sitters enjoy the responsibility involved caring for the clients home, along with the company of pets without the costs and ties associated with owning them.

Our Sitters receive a modest remuneration which supplements income, together with expenses.  We are responsible for all PAYE and NI where applicable (for couples, for PAYE purposes, one person becomes the employee; we do not normally remunerate partners).  Whilst on an assignment, considerable savings are made in the Sitters’ own homes such as heating and lighting.
